Funeral Live Streaming at The Most Holy Trinity Church: The Funeral Of Canon Alan McLean

The Most Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, is located in southeast London in a district called Bermondsey.

This fabulous church, as one of the standout and most recognisable parts of Bermondsey, is always open and welcoming to all those wishing to attend a service or a mass. Always filled with a warm sense of community and spirit as well as a brilliant choir who always perform beautifully.

It's a superb church and provides an excellent and traditional way to commemorate the passing and to remember the life of anyone's loved ones, especially one such as Canon Alan McLean, who was loved, respected, and praised by so so many people as I'm sure he did for everyone who attended church as well.

It was a fantastic opportunity to be able to be a part of this occasion in such a venue and be able to make an already very important day just that little bit more special.

We supplied a three camera stream where we had one set up at the rear balcony of the church to be able to capture the whole service so that we didn't miss anything (the view itself that came through the camera can be seen in the image below). Then we also had the two other cameras that we used to capture the other important moments.

The second and third cameras were operated just there in the pulpit on the top left of the screen. One was pointed at the current centre of importance while the other focused on the choir.

After we arrived we got straight to it and after thoroughly surveying the location we located the best places for our equipment and safe cable routes so that we could operate as respectfully and unobtrusively as possible. The image below shows the screens/camera footage with the whole setup so all of the screens and angles can be monitored. we had to run so many wires round the whole place. We even decided to run one all the way to the front of the church so we could get coverage/footage of the scene after the main service.

We also had an additional setup outside as there were a huge amount of people and we had nowhere near enough seats in the church itself. A huge screen was hired and placed right in the back of the courtyard area by the side of the church to allow the remaining guests to still be able to watch and hear the service live as well. Our partner PA company set up four speakers to make sure that there was proper sound quality that everyone could hear. The screen displayed a superb view of what the cameras were recording. You can see a lot of this setup and these details in the image of the outside seating just below.

After the main service inside was finished, We had to quickly detach the camera and run down to capture some footage on all the people leaving. Then outside to capture the final events of the day. The hearse which was carrying the body of Canon Alan McLean moved off for his final journey as the F A Albin & Sons team cleared the way for departure.

Despite the unfortunate nature of the day it was a really lovely opportunity to learn and see just how important Canon Alan McLean was to this whole community.
